If you like big rock songs from bands like Biffy Clyro, then you will probably like Oliver Gearing. He writes “hook ridden songs with amazing choruses” (skiddle.com) backed up by head-noddy beats shaped from years thrashing his Pearl Export drum kit to Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins albums.

The last few years has seen Oliver Gearing shaping and honing his live sound while working on material that tells his story. With a guitar, a microphone and a loop pedal he is able to create an impressive sound which you can hear at one of his gigs, or see on his growing YouTube channel.

With two studio releases to-date which demonstrate his “radio-friendly rock sound that will stick in your head all day” (glasswork.co.uk), Oliver has spent most of 2019 preparing material for his upcoming album Concerned With Now, which will be released in 2020.

If you like the idea of plugging Ed Sheeran into a distortion pedal and asking Dave Grohl to play the drums then it’s probably worth playing one of Oliver’s songs, which you can find on Spotify and the other major streaming sites.

Make your ears proud.
